Time Square has a communal fiber Satellite/DSTV Dish operated by Comtel. This means no one needs to install their own dish or aerial; all you need is a DSTV decoder and a valid subscription. A once of installation to each unit is required should this not have been done before. To have this done, please contact Comtel on the details below.

The communal system only distributes the satellite signal and does not provide terrestrial signal. There are two options to view terrestrial TV inside a unit ...
- Connect your TV to internal "Bunny Ear" aerials, you may need a booster. No external aerials are permitted.
- Purchase either a DSTV or OpenView decoder both of which provide a way to view the normal terrestrial channels via satellite with much better reception and clarity.

The nature of the communal fiber network means that once the fiber connection has bee installed in the unit, it is as simple as connecting a decoder as with any other dish. Should your unit not have the required connection or you are having difficulty, please contact Comtel with the details below.
