High density living unfortunately requires some rules that may seem harsh at first but they ensure a common understanding and allow all owners and residents to enjoy the property equally.
The House Rules of Time Square are very extensive and were compiled by legal sectional title experts.
Every year the rules are reviewed by the owners of all units at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). After the meeting, if any amendments were made, the rules are legally registered at the Deeds Office which holds a signed copy for public record.
The rules are legal and binding to anyone that enters the premises or chooses to live or purchase at Time Square.
There is no excuse such as "I didn't know". It is every resident and owners responsibility to educate themselves about the rules and ask for clarification if this is needed. To be safe, Ask first, Don't assume.
